We had a great time and so did the children and adults who came to try out traditional archery.  First the kids would sling a few arrows, and then pretty soon we had whole families trying archery.  We met several nice families during this event.  After explaining about our club shoots where we place 3D animals along a path in the woods around beautiful Herb Parsons Lake, they became even more interested.  Don't be surprised if you see some of these faces at our next shoot in June as we may have hooked them on traditional archery, at least we hope so.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED PUT THIS EVENT ON! (Bill Bigham, Roy Phillips, Roger & Nancy Rosenthal, Walter Stegall, Wayne Rogers, Jeff Bailey (new member of LT from TWRA in Jackson, TN), Gene Smith (TWRA Hunter Safety Instructor),  Chris Park (TWRA Facility Manger), and Murray & Robin Seratt. Some of these people blew up a lot of balloons - Whew!

The Commercial Appeal did publish a 3/4 page article (written by our own Murray Seratt) with lots of pictures on Sunday, May 23rd in the Bartlett Appeal section, which is really great for our club and the promotion of traditional archery.  Unfortunately, it came out one day too late to advertise the Children's event but we've already received phone calls from this exposure.  I'll try to get the article posted as soon as I can shrink it down enough to scan it in.  Stay tuned!
